127I Nuclear quadrupole resonance spectra of beryllium iodates

Description
127I complete NQR spectra of certain beryllium iodates of the composition Be(IO3)2 (1), Be(IO3)2 · 4H2O (2) and Be(IO3)2 · 2HIO3 · 6H2O (3) have been studied. It has been ascertained that hydration of anhydrous iodate affects insignificantly the quadrupole parameters of iodine atoms in (2). When iodic acid is included in complex (3), HIO3 fragment is preserved as it is, but umdergoes additional distortions. IO3- groups not included into HIO3 fragment change but slightly. 6 refs.; 1 tab
