Coulomb ionization of the L sub-shells by heavy charged projectiles

  • 1. Bergen Univ. (Norway)

Description

Some features of the Coulomb ionization probabilities for the L sub-shells of a heavy target atom are investigated by use of the semi-classical (SCA) model in impact parameter form. Based on hydrogen-like target electron wavefunctions, a few predictions on energy and impact parameter variations for individual sub-shells are given.
