Computed tomography features of thoracic pathology after lung exeresis

The authors remind possible complications after lung resection. They describe their CT scan features and the part the computed tomography takes in the diagnostic and the treatment of those complications. First of all, the main problem is the earliest detection of tumoral recurrence in order to treat it with surgery or effective medical treatment. For that purpose, computed tomography is an efficacious way. Diagnostic problems appear with radiation fibrosis and surgery sequelaes (post surgery fibrosis). By comparison with previous CT scans most of those difficulties get away. The second goal of the supervision is the research of an other thoracic cancer. For other pulmonary resections complications, CT scans are inquired by clinicians or surgeons so as to clear up a diagnostic or treatment difficulty. (authors). 55 refs., 19 figs
