PROFIL-360 inspection tool takes the rough with the smooth
Description
Bobbin coil eddy current inspections may be used as a rapid screening technique to locate areas where tube denting is a concern. But these techniques are inadequate for accurate sizing of non-symmetrical denting in steam generator tubing. The PROFIL-36 system described here has been designed to characterize both symmetrical and dented tube geometries. (author)
