Description

Full text: The McStas[1] neutron ray tracing simulation package is a versatile tool for producing accurate neutron simulations, extensively used for design and optimization of instruments, virtual experiments, data analysis and user training. The 2.0 version of the McStas package, (released media 2009), developed in collaboration between RISO DTU, University of Copenhagen and ILL has many improvements, especially in terms of standardized components interfaces, improved parallel processing support (MPI), neutron polarization and platform support. A selection of new and future package features are presented in this poster. (author)
