Valence vibrations of OH- ion in crystals of basic hydroxides
Creators
Description
The frequency of valence vibrations of the OH- ion in crystals of the basic hydroXides Cd(OH)2; Y(OH)3; La(OH)3; Ce(OH)3; Pr(OH)3 has been analyzed as a function of the properties of the ion structural elements. It is shown that the dependence of νsub(OH) on the overall effect of the cations coofrdinating the OH-group is described by a family o straight lines Each of these lines correCponds to a certaip group of hydroxides the cations of which have the same electron structure of the skeleton and are in eqUal valence state
