Cement packages for exploratory sea dumping were made in waste Disposal and Decontamination Section, Tokai Research Establishment, JAERI. These must be secure against different kinds of impacts during transport. To confirm their integrity, water spray, free drop, compression and penetration tests as normal conditions were conducted according to both IAEA and domestic transport regulations. Results showed the packages all satisfy the tests in the regulations. Test procedures and results are described. (author)
