Three-dimensional visualization technique based on the neutron imaging

  • 1. Japan Atomic Energy Agency, J-PARC Center, Tokai, Ibaraki (Japan)

Description

Energy analysis type neutron imaging is a technique to quantify the physical information inside the observation target by analyzing the energy dependence of the neutron transmission rate and visualize its spatial distribution. This paper introduces the following examples as the research and development of 3D visualization technology via energy analysis type neutron imaging: (1) 3D visualization of crystal structure information via Bragg edge imaging or tomography, (2) 3D visualization technology of magnetic field information using RADEN's 3D neutron degree of polarization analyzer at J-PARC (3D degree of polarization analysis neutron tomography (3DPNT)).
