Description

A first document reports various aspects of an exploratory drilling performed for geothermal purposes: technical aspect (exploration history, operations, daily performance, technical characteristics), geological aspect (geological context, description and aged of crossed soils, age of the calcareous series), obtained data (interpretation of thermal, gamma-ray, P.S. and neutron digraphs), operation and pumping tests, water physical and chemical characteristics. The second document reports the same information but at the end of the sounding operations. The third document concerns a specific area, discusses the presence of geothermal resources (litho-stratigraphic and hydro-geological data), and describes and indicates the various characteristics of the proposed geothermal drilling (location, objectives, design and cost assessment for the exploratory drilling and for the exploitation drilling). It also reports a feasibility study for this site: geological context, structural features and evolution of the region. The next document reports a feasibility study for another site of the city: geothermal resources, litho-stratigraphic data, hydro-geological data, project design and characteristics of the proposed drilling(s), cost analysis and pumping equipment. The last report discusses the perspectives of geothermal energy exploitation within the framework of an Eco-city project for the Montpellier conurbation. It more particularly addresses the use of heat pumps on water sheet to use geothermal energy in a real estate, and the use of geothermal energy on a probe field for an other real estate project. In both cases, the general, geological and hydrogeological contexts are analysed, and the geothermal potential and resources, and regulatory aspect are discussed
