Observation of the isotope 13Be in the reaction 14C(7Li, 8B)

Description
The nuclide 13Be has been searched for in the reaction 14C(7Li, 8B). Measurements with a beam of triply charged 7Li ions with energy 82 MeV and a 14C target show a broad peak in the 8B distribution which is three times the background level and is shown to be due to 13Be
