Main results of development of power generator for amplification channel of second-section linear accelerator for a meson factory
Description
A power pulse SHF generator designed for exciting an accelerating resonator in the second part of a high-current linear accelerator is described. A pulse klystron with electromagnetic focusing (klystron pulse power 4.75 MW, anode voltage 80 kV, efficiency 40%) is used in the output stage. The control of the SHF amplitude is realized by the input signal of an amplification channel (AC) operating at 991 MHz. The total AC amplification coefficient is 60 dB. A running wave tube, which controls the stabilization circuit, is connected to the channel input
