Description
For beam diagnostics with Optical Transition Radiation and Diffraction Radiation, we consider the usefulness of focusing the optics on a plane at finite distance from the target. It gives informations on the beam emittance parameters which are complementary to those obtained by focusing on the target or at infinity.
