Different focalisations of Optical Transition Radiation and Diffraction Radiation

  • 1. Univ-Lyon, Université Lyon 1, CNRS, Institut de Physique Nucléaire de Lyon, 69622 Villeurbanne (France)

Description

For beam diagnostics with Optical Transition Radiation and Diffraction Radiation, we consider the usefulness of focusing the optics on a plane at finite distance from the target. It gives informations on the beam emittance parameters which are complementary to those obtained by focusing on the target or at infinity.
