Current status and future plan of FBR research and development
Description
The Power Reactor and Nuclear Fuel Development Corporation was founded in 1967, and the national project was launched to develop fast bruder reactors under the combined forces of the goverment and the private sectors. This paper reviews the current status of fast breeder reactor technology cultivated in the development of the experimental reactor ''JOYO'' and the prototype reactor ''MONJU'' and describes the future plan of technology development toward commercial fast breeder reactors.
