Description
This paper gives recent results of investigations on the electrical properties of insulators at high temperatures. After some basic considerations about reasonable test procedures for thermally stressed electrical insulating materials results of tests on insulators at high temperatures and high voltage are discussed. First experiments are carried out on insulators consisting of high purity alumina (99.7%A12O3) with dimensions in the range of some millimeter thickness
