Preliminary results on the decays D+ → K+ π+π-, D+ → K+K+K+

  • 1. Princeton Univ., NJ (United States). Dept. of Physics

Description

Preliminary results on the Doubly Cabibbo Suppressed Decays (DCSD) D+ → K+π+π- and D+ → K+K+K- from roughly 40% of the E791 data set are summarized. The authors present an analysis of candidate events from E791 data in these decay modes. They show that there is a clear signal in the D+ → K+π+π- mode and discuss backgrounds and sources of error in the results. They disagree with a published signal level in the D+ → K+K+K- mode
