Activated carbon type gas hold up device
Description
An activated carbon-type rare gas hold up device is disposed in a radioactive gas waste processing device. Activated carbon packages are filled in the main body of the device. The active carbon package is of a cylindrical shape with low height, covered with an active carbon sheet at the outer side thereof and filled with activated carbons. The upper surface is reinforced by stitching radially with reinforcing threads, and a suspending ring is disposed at the center thereof. Since the activated carbon sheet is used as the material for packaging the activated carbons, the package itself has an effect of holding a gaseous fission products (krypton, xenon, etc.). The activated carbon packages are inserted into the main body while being suspended by the suspending ring from a suspending hook. With such a constitution, improvement of efficiency of an operation upon filling activated carbons and improvement for working circumstance by preventing generation of powdery dusts during filling of the activated carbons can be attained.
