Numerical investigations of the heterotic phase in dirty and clean layers

Description
A superlattice of dirty and clean layers is considered an artificial material. Local quantity βν(r)=Σm=1N vertical bar ψm(r) vertical bar2ν, where ψm(r) is the wave function of the mth energy eigenstate and N is the total number of states, is calculated to determine the degree of disorder required to form a heterotic phase of an Anderson insulator and wavy electrons
