Surface studies on a leached sphene glass
- 1. University of Western Ontario, London (Canada)
Description
The results of electron spin for chemical analysis or x-ray photoelectric spectroscopy and secondary ion mass spectrometry studies of leached CaTiSiO5 glasses are reported which demonstrate the nature of leached surface layers on a titanosilicate. The results also illustrate the parallels between the leaching of sphene glasses in deionized water and the leaching mechanism already proposed for titanates. (U.K.)
