Muon beam with a momentum up to 40 GeV/c on the IFVE accelerator
Description
A description is given of a muon beam transportation channel with a pulse up to 40 GeV/sec and an intensity of more than 106 muon/cycles. Along with conventional quadrupole lenses use is made for forming a muon beam of a muonconduit-reflector in the form of a tube of magnetized iron and a lens of azimuthally magnetized iron, which is a component part of the filter. Results of the measurements of the muon beam basic characteristics are cited
