Analytical feasibilities of gamma activation determination of gold using heavy-current betatron
Description
The analytical possibilites of the gamma-activation method for gold determination using the heavy-current SB-50 betatron at the peak energy of the bremsstrahlung radiation Eγm=18 MeV are investigated. The method is founded on photonuclear reations (γ, γ'), (γ, 2n) on 197Au. The method of the gold determination in samples of the industrial wastes of electronic engineering is developed. The real limit of the gold determination in these samples is equal to 1.2x10-3 g/g, 2.5x10-5 g/g and 8x10-3 g/g correspondingly, for reactions of the (γ, γ'), (γ, n) and (γ, 2n) types
