Description
Automatic translation: Semipalatinsk is a well-known region of Kazakhstan due to the presence of the Semipalatinsk Test Site (SIP). In the period from 1949 to 1962. 125 nuclear tests (including 25 near-surface nuclear tests) were carried out on the territory of the SIP. On August 29, 1949, the first nuclear explosion was carried out, resulting in the contamination of a vast area to the northeast of the epicenter of the explosion with radioactive fallout. One of the explosions followed by contamination with radioactive fallout was the test on August 7, 1962. In total, more than 100 samples of tooth enamel were analyzed.

Семипалатинск является известным регионом Казахстана из-за присутствия Семипалатинского испытательного полигона (СИП). В период с 1949 по 1962 гг. 125 ядер- ных испытаний (в том числе 25 приповерхностных ядерных испытаний) было проведено на территории СИП. 29 августа 1949 г. был проведен первый ядерный взрыв, повлекший загрязнение радиоактивными осадками огромной территории к северо-востоку от эпицентра взрыва. Одним из взрывов с последующим загрязнением радиоактивными осадками было испытание 7 августа 1962 г. Всего было проанализировано более 100 образцов зубной эмали.Additional details
