Description
The Coulomb dissociation of highly charged metal clusters is investigated. The analogy with a classical conducting liquid drop is discussed and predictions are given. Coincidence data from recent experiments on the fragmentation of such highly charged metal clusters formed in collisions with multicharged ions are shown. Multi-emission of light charged clusters is well identified. (orig.)
