Description

For the purpose of the complemental evaluation of different body imaging modalities of single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) and X-ray computed tomography (XCT) in the same transaxial sections, a diagnostic evaluation technique with the composite display of SPECT overlaid on the corresponding XCT contour image is developed. This paper describes the method and clinical applications of this technique. This method contributes the interpretation of both SPECT and XCT by informing clearer structure-function relationship
