Electron induced intercombination transitions between highly excited levels

Description

The cross sections of electron-induced intercombination transitions between Rydberg states averaged over orbital quantum numbers are considered. Comparison with the classical approach and numerical results for transitions 41 -43, 81 -83, 41 -53, 81 -93, 61 -63, 61 -73, 61 -83 between singlet and triplet states of He are carried out. (author)
