Description
The north-south (NS) asymmetry A(x), where X is atmospherical depth, galactic cosmic rays according to stratospheric measurements in Arctics (the Olenja station) and in Antarctics (the Mirni station), is studied. The 22-year wave in GCR NS asymmetry is observed: A(x) ≅ 0 in negative semiperiods of the solar magnetic cycle (1963-1968 and 1982-1987) and A(x) > o in the positive samiperiod (1972-1979). The A(x) value does not depend on the sign of interplanetary magnetic field sector, NS-asymmetry increases with the growth of atmospheric pressure in the case of X increase from ∼ 30-50 to ∼ 600 gxcm-2, after that A(x) decreases during further X increase. The observed dependence A on atmospheric depth X is possibly connected with the asymptotic latitude of particle coming to the south and north observation stations. X growth brings about the increase of the average effective energy of registered particles and the difference in asymptotic latitudes of coming advent in obse vation points increases. In 1982 anomalously high negative value of NS-asymmetry is observed
