Ageing of aluminium drift tubes filled with Ar+15%CO2+2.5%C4H10 gas mixture

Description
Paper presents the investigation results of aging of aluminium drift tubes filled with Ar+15%CO2+2.5%C4H10 gas mixture under 3 atm. in proportional and streamer working conditions. The rate of aging under proportional conditions constituted 25%/(C/cm). No essential variations of performances of detectors under streamer conditions under low loads up to 14C total accumulated change were observed. But at load increase of a detector due to aging there occurred variation of ratio between streamer and proportional signals. 10 refs.; 9 figs
