A survey of physics to be addressed using recoil mass separators
Description
We briefly examine the development of separators and new devices which are being planned. We then discuss some interesting projects underway at the existing recoil separators. These projects have been subdivided into categories of reaction studies with separators, their use for fast isotope separation, and their use in recoil gated spectroscopy. Finally, we attempt to discuss some of the promising growth areas for the future. (orig./HSI)
