Operating experience of the RBMK-1000 reactor in the partial refueling mode

The problem of partial refueling optimization of the Kurskaya NPP unit 1 RBMK-1000 reactor during the transient is considered. New flowsheets of the two- and three-stage reactor refueling during the schedule-preventive repairs are grounded. It is shown that the mentioned flowsheets permit to obtain more uniform power distribution and increase fuel burn-up as compared with the usual one-stage refueling flowsheet
