Two-cluster structure of some alpha-scattering resonances in the sd shell
Description
The excitation functions of the elastic scattering of alpha particles at backward angles on 24Mg and 28Si nuclei in the energy range from 23 to 28 MeV measured by Bobrowska et al. exhibit distinct maxima. It was shown that these maxima are not correlated with the structures seen in the excitation functions of the (α,α') and (α,p) reactions leading to low-lying excited states of the final nucleus possibly indicating the presence of Ericson fluctuations
