Description
Gulf Canada Resources' chase for Clyde Petroleum plc was full of excitement right down to the last minute, when Gulf won by a whisker. Full of twists and turns, it produced some splendidly contemptuous rhetoric from the purchaser about the purchase. However, it also proved yet again just how difficult it is to value an E and P company. (UK)
