As part of the authors' ongoing study to synthesize 123I-labelled SPECT brain imaging agents they have recently prepared three compounds to study the dopamine system of the brain; L-6-[123I]iododopa (6-ID), L-6-[123I]iodo-m-tyrosine (6-IMT) and N,N-dimethyl[β-(3,4-diacetoxy-6-[123I]iodophenyl)]ethylamine (IDDE)
