Covariantized spurious poles in the light-cone gauge

  • 1. Instituto de Fisica Teorica (IFT), Sao Paulo, SP (Brazil)

Description

It is presented an approach to evaluate one-loop light-cone integrals in which casualty is embedded in the vector boson propagator through a trick we call covariantization of the gauge-dependent pole. This trick naturally takes care of the casualty issue in the vector boson propagator, since this covariantization is nothing more than a clever manner to match the signs of the covariant and the gauge-dependent poles. Explicit in this covariantization of the gauge-dependent pole is the assumption that the energy of the field quanta does not vanish, i.e., the k- - variable ≠ 0. This can be easily understood remembering that field quanta are always interpreted a la Feynman according to their negative- (positive-) frequency sectors. (author). 1 ref
