Ways for health physicists to minimize the chances of being sued

Description

Every health physicist is at some risk of being sued by a nuclear worker for negligence. This paper reports that health physicists can minimize their chances of being sued by maintaining professional relationships with workers, answering their questions honestly, treating each contamination incident as a potential lawsuit, calming workers instead of reinforcing their fears, and appropriately educating them so that they understand the true implications of a contamination or exposure incident
