Determination of sign of mismatching of lattice parameters of film and substrate according to the defects of ferrite-garnet epitaxial films

Description
The paper validates the method for determining sign mismatching of the parameters of film and substrate lattices using monocrystalline films of ferrite-garnets as an example. The ferrite-garnets were grown by the from overcooled solution-melt. The mismatching sign is judged by through comparison of the sizes of monocrystalline blows on the periphery and in the center of the cracked epitaxial film or in two films which were grown simultaneously on both sides of the substrate. 61 refs.; 3 figs., 2 tabs
