Description

The magnetic characteristics of the Tevatron Electron Lens magnetic system have been measured to high accuracy. Two field-measuring systems have been constructed and used successfully. The first uses a 3D Hall probe, which simultaneously records the field in every direction for each position. The second method is based on the alignment of a magnetic rod along the field and detection of its angle from the axis. All measured results are in good agreement with calculations, and they satisfy the requirements of the TEL

Abstract (Russian)

С высокой точностью измерены магнитные характеристики магнитной системы электронной линзы тэватрона (ЭЛТ). Изготовлены и успешно использованы две системы измерения. Первая использует трехмерный датчик Холла, который одновременно регистрирует поле в каждом направлении в каждом положении. Вторая система основана на ориентации магнитного стержня и регистрации угла его отклонения относительно оси. Результаты измерений находятся в хорошем согласии с расчетными и удовлетворяют требованиям ЭЛТ
