Description

Pechini method was used to prepare lead titanate zirconate with ratio Zr/Ti equal 53/47. Seeds with rhombohedral structure (PZT 57/43) or tetragonal structure (PZT 45/55) was add in the precursor. After calcination to 700 0 C for three hours the powders were isostatically compacted at 230 M P a and sintered at 1100 0 C during two hours in a closed system containing 15 wt% of P Z + 5% Z. XRD showed PZT rhombohedral phase for samples calcined at 400 0 C and the infrared spectroscopy showed metal-oxygen bonds in the region 700-300 cm-1, and bonds CO O- in the region 1400 cm-1. The microstructure was differentially influenced by the nature of seed particles. (author). 13 refs, 5 figs, 1 tab
