Description
We investigate the spin susceptibility, measurable by inelastic neutron scattering, for a single-band tight-binding model with nearest-neighbor hopping only, in the superconducting state, using the random-phase approximation. Gap functions with s- and d-wave symmetries are investigated, and possible signatures of these gap functions are suggested not only at low energies, but also at high-energy transfer. The spin response is also compared to the charge response relevant to phonon self-energies
