Phase Diagrams

  • 1. Surbiton, Surrey (United Kingdom)

Description

Phase diagram work on the metal beryllium and its alloys was concentrated during the fifties and early sixties, based on some earlier work. During the past few years, however, interest in the metallurgy of beryllium seems to have greatly diminished. As a result, the author, when surveying the literature on the binary phase diagrams, found the ground almost fully covered by the well-known sequence of monographs by Hansen and Anderko [1], Elliott [2] and Shunk [ 3] . Naturally, ample use has been made of the information given by these sources, the original literature checked where desirable and new information added where available. (author)
