Description

The measurements of diffuse reflectance spectra in the range of lambda 400 to 2500 nm are used for the study of an influence of manganese oxide and lanthanum oxide additions on the band structure of polycrystalline lead zirconate-lead titanate solid solutions. The molar ratio of zirconium and titanium in the studied solid solutions is 60:40 and the concentrations of the dopants are 0.015 mol of MnO2 and 0 to 0.045 mol LaO/sub 1.5/. The diffuse reflectance spectra are recalculated into the form of dependences of Kubelka-Munk function values on an incident electromagnetic radiation energy. These dependences are decomposed into the partial 'absorption' bands using a computer. On the basis of found individual band maxima energies the band structure of Pb(Zr,Ti)O3, modified by manganese oxide and lanthanum oxide additions, is suggested. (author)
