Electron-Beam Plasma Chemical Reactors: the Development Experience and Optimization

Description

Physical processes in a reaction chamber of plasma chemical reactors equipped with the Electron Beam Plasma generator are considered, the non-equilibrium chemically active plasma being generated by means of an injection of a continuous electron Beam into a dense medium. Plasma chemical reactors with gaseous and heterogeneous reaction bulk are described. Examples of designs of the reaction chambers with subsonic and supersonic flows of reagents are given. The results of experiments and computer simulations of the Electron Beam Plasma chemical Reactors used in industrial and aerospace technologies are discussed. Approaches to design and optimization of the reactor involved are described. (author)
