The paper on the international comparisons of electricity generation costs is based on a lecture presented at the Institution of Nuclear Engineers, London, 1986. A description is given of the basis of electricity costing, along with arguments over nuclear costs in the United Kingdom, and nuclear economics. The international costs are discussed with respect to capital costs, fuel costs and overall generation costs. (UK)
