Decommissioning activities carried out by AEA Technology: current developments and future planning

Description
All aspects of decommissioning activities by AEA Technology are outlined in two areas: the WAGR decommissioning project at Windscale which represents the progress made by the AEA in the field of decommissioning of large reactors, and a group of projects for remote-handled decommissioning at Harwell which shows the advantages of this new technology in environments with different activities. Alle Aspekte der Stillegungsaktivitaeten der AEA Technology werden in zwei Bereichen herausgestellt: Das WAGR-Stillegungsprojekt in Windscale, welches die Fortschritte der AEA bei der Stillegung eines grossen Reaktors darstellt, und eine Grppe von Projekten zur fernhantierten Stillegung in Harwell, welche die Vorteile dieser neuen Technologie im Bereich unterschiedlich aktiver Umgebungen zeigen.
