Effect of additives on the valence transition of cerium
Description
In order to elucidate more information on the mechanisms which drive the transition, a study was undertaken of the effects of the other rare earth additives on it. Specifically, we wanted to determine if other solute systems show the same critical behavior as the Ce/sub 1-x/Th/sub x/ system, and also to distinguish between effects due to solute size and valence
