Description
This document deals with superthermal electron generation and transport in the reversed-field pinch at the edge of MST. 3-D kinetic simulations have been used for the analysis of Reversed-Field Pinch (RFP) discharges. 3-D MHD simulations or 3-D Fokker-Planck codes enable the computation of magnetic fields configurations. Radial diffusion of superthermal electrons due to magnetic stochasticity appears as essential to simulate the X-ray spectra, which cannot be reproduced on a basis of purely MHD-dynamo electric field.
