  • 1. Servicio de Radiodiagnostico, Hospital Lluis Alcanyis, Valencia (Spain)

Description

Papillary epithelial and solid-cystic neoplasm of the pancreas (PESCN) is a very uncommon tumor of low-grade malignancy that almost exclusively affects young women. It develops as a large mass, prevalently in the body and tail of the land. Its internal architecture can be predominantly solid or cystic or misex, depending on the degrees of tumor-related hemorrhage and necrosis. We present a typical case, describing the plain radiography, ultrasound, CT and MR findings. We also discuss the clinico pathological features and the differential diagnosis. (Author) 7 refs
