Novel sandwich-type complexes: synthesis, structure, spectral and redox properties of 1 to 1 porphyrin-phthalocyanine cerium (IV) complexes: |Ce(Po) (Pc)|
Description
Novel green cerium (IV) complexes |Ce(Po)(Pc)|in which two different macrocyclic ligands (a porphyrin and a phthalocyanine) encompass the metal cation in a sandwich-like structure have been synthetized and characterized by UV-visible, 1 HNMR spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and X-ray diffraction at -1000C. An one-electron oxidation of these compounds leads to stable red radical-cation species. The X-ray structure of one such species is also reported
