Magnetic moments of the Σ+ and Σ-

Description

Preliminary results from Fermilab experiment E-497 on the magnetic moments of the Σμ and Σ- are given. The experiment was designed to measure the fluxes and polarizations of the hyperons. It is possible to measure the magnetic moment by measuring the spin precession of a polarized hyperon beam. 6 references
