High speed signal processing in plasma feedback control
Description
The control system of the JT-60 (Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute Tokamak - 60) utilizes a hierarchical structure with ZENKEI and subsystem controllers. ZENKEI, the central control system, is a process computer system equipped with control panels, the CAMAC system, timing system, protective interlock system and plasma monitor system. As feedback control of the plasma position and shape of the JT-60 must be executed within 1ms, all system components must work at high speed and with high accuracy. This paper gives a description of functions and configuration of the feedback control system of the JT-60
