The nucleon-antinucleon interaction with bound state formation

Description
The reaction pp sup(-) → π-X is studied in which X is supposed to be a bound state of the nucleon-antinucleon system. The interest was to obtain some qualitative and quantitative information about the differential cross-section of this reaction when the final pion is in the forward direction. It is concluded that for M sub(X) near threshold the contribution from the one-pion exchange graph with a δ-resonance as an intermediate state is more important than the contribution of the one nucleon exchange graph. Faz-se um estudo da reacao pp sup(-) → π-X onde X e suposto um estado ligado do sistema nucleon-antinucleon. Visa-se obter informacoes qualitativas e quantitativas sobre a secao de choque diferencial desta reacao no caso em que o pion final esta na direcao em frente. Os resultados obtidos para massas de X muito proximas ao limiar mostram que a contribuicao do grafico com formacao de ressonancia δ no estado intermediario e maior do que a contribuicao do grafico simples.
