Suppression of transition dipole moments in radioactive atoms
- 1. Kazan Federal University, 18 Kremlevskaya str., 420008 Kazan (Russian Federation)
Description
Optical emission from radioactive atoms is investigated. It is shown that the radioactivity of the central nucleus results in the suppresion of the optical transition dipole moment in the corresponding atom. The situations are regarded when this suppression is significant and can be experimentally observed. (paper)
